NightSky Pictures is a UK based boutique independent film and media production company. Our team consists of world class media talent, led by myself.
The company's mission is to have a positive lasting impact on a global audience by producing films, animations and immersive reality products that have a positive, lasting impact, enriching lives.
Our primary activity is a children’s brand Magic Wanda the Dragon® improves the lives of children globally by producing a lasting positive paradigm shift in the audience.
It leaves children feeling expressed and understood by connecting them with loveable cartoon dragons and the amazing real life humans they encounter. The dragons return home to teach their fellow dragons what they learnt, thus reinforcing the skills for the audience.
Children who meet people who are realising their dreams through skills they acquire are proven to be more financially successful and fulfilled in general in life.
We also produce human interest documentaries highlighting inspirational artists and individuals who have unique survival stories and have a positive impact on society. They have carved a niche, which reveals to others in their path, including the films' audiences, a glimpse of a life less ordinary.
An example is our multi-award-winning feature documentary One Note at a Time, which recalls the hardships entertainers faced bringing back their music after Hurricane Katrina hit and the flooding in the aftermath, and how a unique charity The New Orleans Musicians’ Clinic helped them overcome adversity. The film is part of the movement to keep New Orleans' music alive, acknowledged and valued.
It features artists including Grammy winners Dr. John & “the Soul Queen of New Orleans” Irma Thomas, Damion & Charmaine Neville, drummer Barry Martyn, trumpeter Kermit Ruffins, Al ’Carnival Time’ Johnson, Walter Payton, Jr., The Cliff Hines Quintet, Ben Jaffe of the Preservation Hall Jazz Band, poet Shelton ‘Shakespear’ Alexander, Ellis & Delfeayo Marsalis and Donald Harrison.
I was a Semi-Finalist in the ‘Outstanding Achievement in Documentary Directing’ in the Lonely Wolf Int' Film Festival Spring 2022. The film won Film of the Festival, Best Feature Doc' and Best Soundtrack at the Oxford Int' Film Festival, 2017, and many other accolades in the UK, USA and Nepal.
It can be seen on many platforms including Amazon, Tubi, Kanopy, YouTube, AppleTV and SkyStore. The soundtrack is available on 86 platforms worldwide and 10% profits goes to the clinic.
In keeping with my commitment to highlight awesome leaders, I am currently producing the fourth annual British Film Editors (BFE) Cut Above Awards' 60-minute awards ceremony films.
